How is baseball is played?

Nobody knows for sure who invented baseball; I heard that it was based on a game called "Rounders" that dates all the way back to the ancient Egyptians. Baseball arrived to the United States through immigrants from Britain and Ireland. In 1845 Alexander Cartwright modified British game call "rounders" and in America it was called "town ball" but Alexander Cartwright is the first person to set up the rules for the game.

Baseball is played between two competing teams. The goal of the game is scoring more points than the rival team and in the language of baseball league; points are referred to as ‘runs’.

By running through all the bases in the square shaped field called ‘diamond’, each of the nine member teams will attempt to score runs when they are batting. This running through bases is known as a ‘tour’. Starting from the home plate, a player will tour counter clockwise, until he arrives back to the home plate.

Looking at how the baseball game is played, one should first know the basic tools of baseball or terminology baseball is used – The batting team is the Offensive and the team on the field is the Defense, simply to understand. The Baseball field on which baseball is played is in the shape of a diamond and its dimensions can change – depending on the players’ age. Base lines also extend from first to second to third base, marking the path of a runner. Baseball has a series of innings when it is played. Each inning will be divided into two. With the Home Team and the Visiting Team. The visiting Team batting first and after 3-outs, then Home will bat next. Until the nine full innings are play. The team with the most runs wins the game runs wins the game.
